This is it. This is looking into Pandora's box and being cursed.
The night's darkness swallows her. She is cold and deaf. Her father happens to be the only physical reality, except in the moment- even being four- she wishes she were dead.
That haunting feeling is rooted in her and it equips her with a shield when the rush of life becomes over stimulant with the older she gets.
The people who raised her thought she forgot, but no amount of drugs or therapy could wash away the memory of meeting the devil, face to face.
